1. What is personal data and what does processing personal data mean?

Personal data refers to any information that directly or indirectly relates to a living individual. This not only includes names and personal identification numbers but also, for example, photos and email addresses. Personal data may also include sole proprietorships where the organization number is often the same as the individual’s personal identification number.

Processing personal data involves any activity performed with the data within IT systems, such as collection, registration, structuring, storage, processing, transfer, and deletion. In some cases, activities outside IT systems, such as maintaining records, can also qualify as processing.

2. Data Controller
Teko Tryck AB (556238-6309) is the data controller responsible for the company’s processing of personal data.

3. What personal data do we collect about you as a customer, and why?

We primarily process your name, address, email address, and phone number. We process your personal data to provide the services and products you have requested (e.g., newsletters or product orders). Additionally, we process your data to maintain and manage our relationship with you or, where applicable, to manage agreements with you or your employer.

We may also use your personal data to inform you about our products and services that may interest you.

TekoTryck always processes your personal data in compliance with applicable laws. We process your data when necessary to fulfill an agreement with you, respond to service requests, or when we have another legitimate and justified interest, such as marketing our services.

If TekoTryck needs to process your personal data for a purpose requiring your consent, we will obtain your consent beforehand. Some data may be mandatory for providing services or fulfilling specific requests, which will be indicated when collecting the data.

4. From which sources do we collect personal data?

We collect your data when you provide it, such as when signing up for newsletters, ordering services or products, or contacting us. Data about you may also be collected when your employer orders services or products from us.

Occasionally, we retrieve information from third parties, primarily for creditworthiness assessments.

5. Who may we share your personal data with?

Data Processors
In some situations, we need to engage third parties to carry out our work, such as IT service providers. These parties act as data processors for us. TekoTryck is responsible for entering agreements with all data processors and providing instructions on how they may process the data. Data processors are only engaged for purposes consistent with the original intent of the data processing.

Independent Data Controllers
We also share your data with certain independent data controllers. For example, this could involve authorities, such as the Tax Agency, or for statistical purposes. When sharing data with independent data controllers, their privacy policies and data handling apply.

TekoTryck may also disclose personal data to third parties, such as police or other authorities, if required for criminal investigations or by law or governmental decision.

6. Where do we process your personal data?

We process all personal data within the EU/EEA, and all our IT systems are located within the EU/EEA.

7. How long do we retain your personal data?

We never retain personal data longer than necessary for its intended purpose. We have established deletion routines to ensure data is not stored beyond its required purpose. Retention periods vary depending on the processing purpose. For example, certain bookkeeping data must be retained for at least seven years under legal requirements.

8. What are your rights as a data subject?

As a data subject, you have several rights under applicable law. To exercise these rights, see the “Exercising Your Rights” section below. Your rights include:

Right of Access (Data Subject Access Requests)
You can request access to the personal data we process about you. To handle your request effectively, we may ask some questions to verify your identity and ensure proper data handling.

Right to Rectification
You can request corrections to incorrect data or supplement incomplete personal data.

Right to Erasure
You may request the deletion of your data, for example:

  • If the data is no longer necessary for its original purpose.
  • If you object to a processing activity based on legitimate interest and your reason outweighs our interest.
  • If the data is processed unlawfully.

However, we may deny your request if legal obligations prevent us from deleting the data, or if processing is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. In such cases, the data will be restricted for other uses.

Right to Restriction of Processing
You may request limited processing in specific cases, such as verifying the accuracy of data or if the data is required for legal claims.

Right to Object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interest or to direct marketing.

Right to Data Portability
You have the right to data portability for data processed with your consent or under a contract.

9. How do we handle personal identification numbers?

We avoid processing personal identification numbers wherever possible. However, in cases where it is necessary for secure identification, such as organization numbers for sole proprietorships, we will process them as required.

10. How are your personal data protected?

We actively ensure the secure handling of personal data through both technical and organizational measures.

11. Supervisory Authority

The Swedish Data Protection Authority (soon to be renamed the Privacy Protection Authority) supervises compliance with data protection laws. You may contact them if you believe we are acting improperly.
