Last week, our CEO, Johanna was a participant in the digital meeting with our Minister of Foreign Trade, Anna Hallberg. The meeting was about international business. The minister wanted to hear our take on how export support functions can be improved.
Since 90% of our products are exported, this is important issues for us. Johanna expressed that smaller companies like us, has the same demands in this, as huge companies with specialist departments to help following laws and regulations. Also, that it is often up us companies to make assessments. We thinks it must be easy to do right.
She also pressed the issue of how important it is that the whole country is represented when marketing Sweden as a trademark and keeping close contract with all regions. We should not compete in what there is already plenty of in the world, like exclusive restaurants in downtown Stockholm, when a New York delegation is here. But instead give them a nature experience like in the forests of Småland, or The archipelago of Stockholm or perhaps even here in Blekinge!
I enjoyed being part of the meeting, to hear the view of others and how the discussions go in Stockholm, and at the same time having the opportunity to express our point of view, says Johanna.

The Blekinge Region and Almi Företagspartner in Blekinge hosted the meeting.
