William Morris
William Morris (1834–1896) was an artist, craftsman, poet, scholar and a revolutionary philosopher. Today he might be best known for his wallpapers & textile patterns, but his work forever changed how Victorian England viewed craftmanship, design and fashion.

A Cultural and Artistic Heritage
William Morris Society, founded 1955, is a cultural institution dedicated to preserving and supporting the legacy of William Morris, and making his work accessible to future generations.
The society also choose to collect and preserve arts by his daughter, the craftswoman and embroidery designer, May Morris, as well as originals by John Henry Dearle, Morris’ assistant, and in later years… colleague.
